Ways you can give
Creating a thriving synagogue is our collective responsibility. Contributions help us ensure our building is kept in good repair and cover our operational expenses. Your gift is an investment in our present and a legacy for future generations.
Make a cash donation. Donors are provided with a charitable receipt for income tax purposes.
Sponsor a Kiddush. Sponsoring a Kiddush lunch is affordable and we gear the menu to suit your budget. A basic Kiddush lunch costs approximately $250.00 and it’s a meal!
Make a Tribute or Memorial Gift in honour of a special person or event. We will send a card to your honouree or their next of kin advising them of your thoughtful tribute.
Give a Gift of Securities. Donations of publicly listed securities are exempt from any capital gains tax. A gift of securities is one of the most tax-efficient ways to make a charitable gift. Contact us for more information.
Leave a Legacy™. Making a gift through your estate is a great way to leave a lasting legacy. You can designate a specified sum or portion of your estate, pension, retirement or life insurance policy benefits to the synagogue. Your professional advisors can help you determine which option suits your situation best.
Contribute to Endowment Funds. Endowment funds help to increase sustainable funding for Beth Jacob. If there is a special place or program you wish to see supported for the long term, consider establishing or contributing to an endowment.
Give a Gift in Kind. The Foundation gratefully accepts gifts of goods and services that support projects, programs or events. The Foundation will issue charitable tax receipts in accordance with the Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.
