With Rabbi Yonah Lavery-Yisraeli, certified yoga instructor.

This is old-school yoga: the careful, persistent extension of our physical capabilities with an eye always on its corresponding effect on our inner capabilities. We will work with body posture (asana), breath (pranayama), and meditation techniques (dharana). The asana portion will be at a beginner-friendly intermediate level. Wear comfortable clothes, but please, no need for fancy “yoga gear”; this work takes hold best when you decompartmentalise it from your daily reality. The floor is hard tile over concrete. Knowing this, you are welcome to bring a yoga mat – or not. A pillow would be helpful, though a limited number are available on site.

Sundays beginning February 2, 2020; 10:30 am -12:00 pm.

Doors open at 10:00 and lock at 10:30 – no latecomers please.

Cost: $10 per class in advance, $15 drop-in. Six pre-paid sessions $50.
